As for Bush boosting the number of our troops to Iraq, I think it's too little too late. Instead, they should focus more on getting our people home. The moment spent on the war could have went to finding ways of decreasing our reliance on foreign oil.

My approach to investing is to buy quality companies and hold on to it. Ideally, these companies pay you for holding their stocks in the form of dividends. A good stock to own is where good results are consistently delivered and where the executives stay fairly unknown. These are boring companies that fly below the radar.
