Blog Entry: If you bought shares of Marvel Entertainment Inc. (MVL) back in early 2003 at a bit over $2, you would have made your returns many times over. The stock closed today, Jan 19, 2007, at $28.50. Not a bad return at all.
One thing I have realized is that to make money, you need to have a passion for it. You want to learn more about it and get better at it. By doing a better job, you will be more likely in a position to make money.
My passion for comic books led me to uncovering Marvel Entertainment. Thanks to its wealth of comic book characters that can be turned into successful film franchises, the stock price has shot up. 2007 looks promising with releases of several Marvel films.
To keep a bigger share of the profits, Marvel is going to self finance some of its films. If these films prove successful, expect the stock to go even higher.
